A Regular Meeting of the Institute for Urban Studies of HNU

On the afternoon of June 29, a regular meeting of the institute was held to summarize the work achieved in the first half year of 2012. Director Zhang Weiliang, the vice-director Qin Junping and other members of the institute attended the meeting.         At the beginning of the meeting, Director Zhang made an introduction to the newcomers recruited. Then he affirmed the work achieved on the promotion of the international academic exchanges and cooperation, the improvement of the research personnel, and collection of relevant research achievements, etc. At the same time, he pointed out the insufficiencies in the work that need to be improved. Besides Director Zhang, other members also gave their own speeches around the work. Based on this , the next working orientations were discussed and determined, which included the achievement of the development goals through constant work, the combination of researches with teaching work to form our own style, the strengthening of the team construction, the establishment of the new base for urban studies by improving the research levels, and the extensive cooperation with other research institutes and city governments both home and abroad to expand our influences of urban studies.
