杭州城市国际化研究院

INSTITUTE FOR HANGZHOU INTERNATIONALIZATION

杭州城市国际化研究院是在杭州市政府支持下建立的一家新型智库，于2017年2月正式成立。研究院以原杭州师范大学城市学研究所为基础，是一个跨学科的、开放式的、以城市国际化为研究对象的政校合作机构。研究院直属杭州师范大学，同时接受杭州市城市国际化推进工作委员会的业务指导。研究院设有中国城市国际化论坛联盟秘书处。

研究院现有研究人员20多人，其中有联合国人居署专家1人，浙江省“千人计划”1人，省市决策咨询委员2人，浙江省高校学术带头人3人，浙江省151人才2人，杭州市131人才4人，海外机构研究人员5人。团队核心人员的专业方向涉及历史学、经济学、社会学、地理学、城市规划和公共管理等领域。研究团队目前主持欧盟重大合作项目、国家社科基金以及省市各类基金课题数十项，出版相关著作10多部，发表学术论文数十篇，获得省市领导批示的政策咨询报告10多项。

研究院将秉持“勤慎诚恕，博雅精进”的校训，开拓进取，成就佳绩。研究院将聚焦于杭州城市国际化战略研究、国际化城市比较研究、城市国际化指标测量研究。研究院将立足杭州，放眼全球，与国内外研究机构合作，致力于促进中国现代城市的发展，推进资源整合与共享，举办中国城市国际化高层论坛，发布杭州城市国际化发展报告，出版城市国际化系列研究成果，为中国城市的可持续发展提供学术支撑和智力服务。

Established in February 2017, Institute for Hangzhou Internationalization (IHI) is a new style think tank supported by Hangzhou municipal government. On the basis of Institute for Urban Studies in Hangzhou Normal University, it is an interdisciplinary, open and cooperated organization studying on urban internationalization between local governments and universities. IHI is subordinate to Hangzhou Normal University and receives the business guidance from Hangzhou Internationalization Promotion Committee. The Secretariat of Chinese Urban Internationalization Forum Alliance is also established in IHI.

At present, IHI has over 20 researchers including one expert from United Nations Habitat and 5 researchers from overseas institutes. Research areas for core staff involve the history, economics, sociology, geography, urban planning and public management, undertaking a significant EU cooperation project, over 10 National Social Science Fund Projects, provincial and municipal fund projects. Current research products include over 10 related books, dozens of papers in academic journals and over 10 policy consultation reports have been adopted by provincial and municipal leaders.

Holding the Motto of Hangzhou Normal University –‘Diligence, Caution, Integrity and Empathy; Broadness, Refinement, Thoroughness and Enterprise’, IHI intends to forge ahead for success focusing on strategic research on urban internationalization, comparative research on world renowned cities and research on index measurement of urban internationalization. IHI will be a firm foothold in Hangzhou, and hold a global perspective, cooperating with domestic and overseas institutes with the aim of promoting the development of modern cities in China and resources integration and sharing. Overall, IHI will be a think tank providing academic support and intelligence service for sustainable development of cities in China through high level forums on China's urban internationalization, reports on Hangzhou urban internationalization development and works on urban internationalization.
